ABOUT USJust one year before starting the company, founder Tara Ramos was pregnant and sick. She had a severe form of morning sickness, called Hyperemesis Gravidarum, which caused her to vomit up to a dozen times per day for seven months. She collected as many air sickness bags from her traveling colleagues as possible but as her supply decreased, she sent her husband out shopping to hunt for vomit bags. He was not successful in finding any, and Tara had to resort to carrying leaky plastic shopping bags and bulky garbage bags.
After delivering a healthy baby girl, Tara later had the idea of a morning sickness vomit bag. She decided to develop a bag for pregnant women to carry without being embarrassed. She liked the convenience of airsickness bags, but they were hard to obtain and she didn't like the airline logos on them. Tara decided to design chic and affordable morning sickness bags, and so she conceived
Morning Chicness Bags. On the bottom of each bag, she has added the words:
Take one day at a time, which is what she had to remind herself to get her through her morning sickness.
Morning Chicness Bags is based in Vancouver, Canada.
